As a result of large volumes of information being delivered visually, drivers are distracted while driving and interacting with their mobile devices (phones, PDAs, personal navigation devices (PNDs)).
Although these devices enable "anywhere, anytime" information, they directly impact safety. Driver distraction resulting from the need to interact with existing in-vehicle navigation or information systems poses a great danger on the roads. Mobile phone usage-related traffic accidents are on the rise, and many countries have passed laws for hands-free mobile phone usage.
